The Scout Troop is divided into smaller groups called Patrols, each headed up by a Patrol Leader and assisted by an assistant Patrol Leader.

1st Bradley Stoke has two Scout Troops that meet on different nights at the Brook Way Activity Centre.

  • Wednesday Troop, meets from 19:15 to 21:15
  • Thursday Troop, meets from 19:00 to 21:00

krThere are a range of badges available which Scouts can wear on their uniforms to show everyone how well they’re doing, culminating in the Chief Scout Gold Award. This is the highest award a Scout can achieve, and any Scout who actively takes part in the programme can achieve this award.kr

We Actively encourage scouts to try and work as part of a team and be a valuable member of the Troop, many of the activities we take part in be it indoors on a troop night or outdoors on a Camp or Outdoor Pursuit work along this theme.

We try and get the Scouts out Camping as much as we can all year round whatever the weather as this is the activity we find everyone enjoys the most, especially standing round a fire poking it with a stick!

P1010084We also take part in Camping competitions, canoeing, sailing, caving, climbing, night hikes, mountain walking and many more.
